right time, right place, intuition with a hard work ethic. we're daydream believers. this is a flood through a band crawling up out of the streets to let the cycle repeat and make this life more than just whatever we thought it was. no ones gonna stand up for you if you can't stand for yourself. you make me remember everything. you make me remember everything. too much is just what we know what to do with. we've got to discover, recover the things we'll never know. too much is just what we know what to do with. we've got to discover, recover the things we'll never know. we're digging through the dirt to find the sun.

making her way downtown to drugstar city my deathwish party angel chasing the sun since she learned to run fearless eyes, atomic hips no time to give a shit about the politics shes got a gun to your head as she pulls back the hammer don't give up, don't die, it'll be alright the darkest hours hit before the best songs of your life don't give up, don't die, it'll be alright give her all the soul you've got before you die my smokestack lungs still wait for you down this city avenue my intellect went down with the first hit so much for so clever i sold my way from place to place on motorbikes, big rigs, and boats through every state of land and mind and sea i know its now or never so don't give up, don't die, it'll be alright the darkest hours hit before the best songs of your life don't give up, don't die, it'll be alright give her all the soul you've got before you die looking in the rearview mirror at drugstar city my deathwish party angel has blood on her chest as she grinds through the gears fearless eyes, atomic hips no time to give a shit about the government shes got two headlights and two lips to make it right

don't try to move too fast don't spread yourself too thin be careful. you'll only kill your hope and hurt your friends be ridiculously brave and listen to your gut they can cut you down to size but they can't touch your talent or your fire trying to learn from the mistakes you made you've got no heroes left you killed them all in shit quest to be the best you wanted to be free the mirror cut you open and got you closer to the truth they say success is measured by the things you've given up to be where you are you've gotta rise up above the bad luck you melted all memories in the sun you've gotta rise up above the bad luck you melted all memories in the sun you wander the apocalypse searching for your new colors never want to stop or slow down you're still crawling around downtown searching for a free way to forget what you know the city shines through you as you burn up all the clues with diesel and acetone rising up from death hangover you've got no heroes left you killed them all in shit quest to be the best you wanted to be free the mirror cut you open and got you closer to the truth they say success is measured by the things you've given up to be where you are you've gotta rise up above the bad luck you melted all memories in the sun you've gotta rise up above the bad luck you melted all memories in the sun the love and hope becomes confusion and pain as the years keep slipping away i keep slipping away

too many circles are not enough to keep time from spinning trying to make something good out of this life somehow you rise up through the atmosphere you crossed a lot of bridges and you burned every one walked a lot of circles on a planet thats a piece of the sun spinning out through time gems of moments strung together in simple sonic waves are all we have as we watch each other pass each other by if you let yourself lay down right now you might not get up its happening and all you have to do is hold on awareness and evolution balancing greed memories of home in the sun with mercy, grace and love we will survive to listen to the circles gems of moments strung together in simple sonic waves are all we have as we watch each other pass each other by

about

Thanks to all of the people that helped this project along its way. This is one of the very last albums that Jim Bentley finished mixing. The last song was finished a week before he died. I wish he would have reached out for help before it was too late. A portion of the profits from this album will go to Music Cares ( www.grammy.org/musicares ).
