about

This song was written in Burlington Vermont in 2004. This version came together at The Fort Brooklyn with the magic drumming of Adriane Palikat and the inspired vocals and Korg MS-20 of Carol Sharks. It's the question that inspires us to do what we do.

lyrics

we wanted to find better ways to spend our time
waiting for the tide to fill our receptors
with the chemicals we need
waiting for someone who understands
you find her in the apple goddess and the clock stops
the clock stops
how do you save one moment and make it last a lifetime
how do you save one moment and make it last
every time i see her my heart gets closer to home
i'm falling up into
i was a rusty knife cockroach sound pirate
inside a cityscape mudslide landfill wolverine
my feet walking in every direction
most times not understanding the connections
you filled my cup when i had nothing stranded in vt
we layed out on the beach and watched the shooting stars
melt across the lake
we fell into one of those dreams where i'm floating
through swirling tunnels of colors and universes
when i slowly woke up into my body
i was drooling on your face and the clock stopped
the clock stopped
how do you save one moment and make it last a lifetime
how do you save one moment and make it last
every time i see her my heart gets closer to home
i'm falling up into
i'm falling up into
angel will you teach me how to sing
show me how to use these strings
every time i saw her my heart grew wings and flew away
now i have nothing left to lose
i guess thats the beauty of our lives
we only last a day
i guess thats the beauty of our lies
we only last a day
its love
she holds us as we slowly fall apart
she holds us as we slowly fall apart
